HYUNDAI MOBIS
Overview & Challenge
This Hyundai Mobis brand commercial was created to elevate the brand image and showcase future mobility technologies. Produced in 45-second and 30-second edits for television and cinema, The Mill Seoul Studio led production, with my role as Motion Artist.
The core challenge was visualizing technologies that do not yet exist. Hyundai Mobis wanted to bring their vision of the future to life, from motion sensors that recognize people, to next generation vehicle displays and charging systems. With no real product to reference, I had to create a visual language purely from imagination. The goal was to strike a careful balance: not too sci-fi, not too present day, close enough to feel like it could happen soon, but advanced enough to feel inspiring and human.
The Approach
Translated Hyundai Mobis's abstract future mobility concepts into a tangible visual narrative. My focus was on bridging the gap between futuristic technology and human centric design through high end motion.
When the director's original storyboard had timing and sophistication issues, I proposed a strategic pivot to 2D depth motion. I also collaborated with The Mill UK to solve a perspective mismatch between live action tracking and the futuristic technology graphics, building client trust through clear visual rationale.
